[Dec. 4, 2015] Smilegate Games, Inc. (CEO Ina Jang) has announced the start of ‘CROSSFIRE STARS 2015 GRAND FINALS’ (CFS 2015 GF), the highest level global e-Sports league of CROSSFIRE, the world’s No. 1 online FPS game, being held at the Tianhe Sports Center in Guangzhou, China.
The prize pool for CFS 2015 is $220,000 USD and a total of 12 teams from 11 regions will fight for the throne for three days. Whole rounds of tournament will be broadcast live online in multiple languages including English, Chinese, and Portuguese. Vietnam, Russia and Latin America regions will be in live broadcast coverage as well in parallel, by usage of the clean source system.
The opening game will be the match between ‘TREU FXN eSport’ from Indonesia and ‘3sUP.Carbon’ from N.America. CFS 2014 Champion ‘EPLZ.MOD’ from China will play against European team ‘PENTA Sports’ as the second match in group A. Group B will be a melting pot of 3 countries, Japan, Korea and Russia challenging against one another and already drawing a lot of attention from their fans. CFS China National Finals No.1 ‘HG.LongZhu’, Philippines team ‘Pacific.Macta’ who finished 3rd in the CFS 2014 GF, and as well as ‘INTZ’ from Brazil will all be cramped in group C, highly anticipated to be one of the most challenging groups at the arena. The Group Stage will be played in a Double-Elimination format, followed by the Tournament Stage up until the Semi-Finals in the second day. On the last day, November 6th, the bronze match and the grand final match will conclude the tournament.
